DARK UNDER EYE CIRCLES

The tear-trough deformity is a common reason for dark under-eye circles. A depression under the eyes is often mistakenly perceived as skin discoloration but in reality, the dark color of the circles is often greatly exaggerated by a pronounced tear trough under the eye. The tear-trough deformity can be significantly reduced with dermal fillers, giving you a younger, more relaxed and energized look.

Skin changes, that happen with aging, result in skin thinning and loss of elasticity, allowing the dark tissues and vessels underneath to show. Another reason for dark under-eye circles could be an overproduction of melanin around the eyes, frequently caused by overexposure to the sun.
