Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments are all about regeneration. It contains growth factors, nutrients, vitamins, hormones, electrolytes, and proteins essential for cell survival and regeneration. Injected into the scalp, the concentrated platelet-rich plasma stimulates hair follicles to grow new hair and slow down existing hair loss. It may also be used to help stimulate hair growth after hair transplants. PRP can be successfully used in combination with other hair restoration modalities such meso-cocktails for hair loss, or minoxidil, and finasteride.

The treatment consists of a monthly injection of PRP for 4-6 months (depending on hair loss severity), followed by injections every 3-6 months. 

It is generally safe, with mild side effects like pain, redness, and tingling sensation in the scalp. PRP therapy may be used for male and female pattern baldness but it’s not recommended for patients with bleeding disorders or autoimmune diseases.
