Carboxytherapy
Carboxytherapy originated in France and has been widely used for over 70 years with no major side effects. More than 4,000 doctors worldwide are practicing Carboxytherapy, and 100’s of published scientific articles can be found in PubMed.
The carbon dioxide (CO2) is a non-embolic gas and has no toxicity even in elevated doses. Our body produces about 200 cc/min of CO2 when at rest and 10 times more during the exercise. The dosage used for aesthetic and therapeutic treatments is less than 100 cc/min and does not exceed more than 2,000 cc. Carboxytherapy improves circulation by forcing red bloods cells to release oxygen and pick up C02 to be eliminated by the body. When injected into the treated area, improved blood flow to the subcutaneous tissue occurs, nourishing the skin and allowing for improved healing. This process stimulates collagen and elastin building and remodeling which in turn leaves the skin tighter, smoother, and brighter. Carboxytherapy also weakens and destroys fat cells which are very sensitive to CO2 gas.
It is being widely used worldwide for cellulite reduction and prevention, local adiposity (localized fat), stretch marks, skin laxity, wrinkles, acne scarring, and alopecia (hair loss). When injected into the scalp a vasodilation effect occurs allowing for increased nourishment with vitamins and nutrients. This results in stimulation of hair growth and reduction/stabilization of hair loss. Carboxytherapy works well alone however, when combined with Mesotherapy the results are even better.
We are using a CDT Evolution Machine from the inventors of Carboxytherapy. (First in the world medical CO2 devices with patented software for detecting the resistance that the gas encounters within the tissue and the only one that have been used for clinical research since 1996; Multiple programs with parameters specifically adjusted to address individual problems. (The device calculates the speed the gas enters the tissue with, the quantity, and the temperature providing for patient comfort.)
